About
American R&b and Soul singer, songwriter, producer and engineer.
Native of Chicago, he moved to Memphis in 1964 and immediately started working for the producer and, later, for the labels Stax and Hi Records
From Darryl’s Website:
Darryl Carter Soul was launched because in a time where legends are beginning to pass, his voice, sound and soul is still alive and working. The story has to be given to you now because after 40+ years in the business, you’ve never heard of Darryl Carter, but chances are you’ve sang one of his songs if you love Soul Music.
The man behind multiple top 100 hits and behind a host of classic soul from Stax, Hi, Venture and other record labels had never been given a chance to step away from behind the curtain. Darryl Carter Soul is your glimpse into the wizardry of the man and it is also the first time you can actually buy the music written by Darryl sang by Darryl.
